And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. Genesis 5:24 NKJV
The bible does not tell us much about Enoch. He is one of the most incredible men of faith to ever “walk with God.” The Lord took Enoch before he died. Enoch was taken away because he pleased God. The faith that pleased God was the faith to walk with God!
By faith Enoch fulfilled the purpose for which God created Him. The Lord did not create us to amuse Himself. God did not create us so He could watch us live like rats in a maze. Our Heavenly Father created us to live in intimate relationship with Him.
God might have taken Enoch because he learned to live in intimacy with God. Perhaps He took Enoch because he learned to trust God completely with His life. Maybe it was because he learned to live in total dependency on God.
Enoch gave testimony to the people of his generation. The testimony Enoch gave is that God wanted to live in intimate relationship with the people of his generation.
This morning when I woke up the Lord spoke to me. He said, “Tell me everything.” I began to talk to the Lord about the things going on in my life. I talked to Him about my trials and tribulations. I talked to Him about my fears and frustrations. I held nothing back from Him.
God did not want me to tell Him everything going on in my life because He is curious. He was not asking me questions so He could figure out how to help me. God was calling me to open-up and draw near to Him because He desires intimacy with me!
Jesus wants you to open up to Him today. He wants you to draw near to Him today. The Lord desires intimacy with you today!
Jesus created you to be His witness. The Lord wants you to testify that God wants us to walk with Him today. If you learn to live in intimate relationship with God one day He will take you to be with Him. He will take you so you can live with Him throughout eternity.
Open-up to the Lord and share your heart with Him today. Share your dreams, desires, hopes and fears with Him. Walk with God by faith in Jesus today!
