What will it take for you to believe Jesus is God?

Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” And Thomas answered Him, My Lord and my God! John 20:27-28 NKJV

Jesus appeared to His disciples. Thomas was not present.

Thomas was told Jesus appeared, he said, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side I will not believe.” Jesus appeared to the disciples again in a room behind a closed door. He stood in their midst and said, “peace to you.”

Appearing this way should have been enough for anyone to believe. Jesus took it one step further. He invited Thomas to do exactly what He said was required for Him to believe. Thomas believed and acknowledged Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

The Lord knew exactly what it would take for Thomas to believe He was resurrected. To believe He is God. That all the things He said and taught when among them were true. We will always know Him as doubting Thomas. He would never doubt Jesus again.

Jesus Christ is the Eternal Son of God. He is the Savior of the World. He is God!

Jesus is not afraid to prove His right to rule and reign over creation. He is the author and finisher of our faith. Jesus gives us the faith to believe He is our Lord and Savior!

Has Jesus revealed Himself to you? If so pray for people who do not know Him. Ask Jesus to reveal Himself to them.

Do you doubt Jesus is God? Do you want to know the truth? Ask the Lord to show you what you need to believe. Jesus is waiting to shower His perfect love upon you!

God gave us the gift of free will. We have the freedom to receive salvation today. We have the freedom to live for Jesus today. We also have the freedom to reject His love. We can live outside of His blessing and protection today.

Pharaoh the King of Egypt refused to obey the commands of God. The Lord hardened his heart. The religious authorities of Israel refused to believe the Son of God would be born among the meek and humble. Their hearts were hardened with unbelief.

If you hear the voice of God today do not harden your heart with doubt and unbelief!

Call out to the God who says, “Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” Ask the Lord to give you what you need to believe He is the Lord and Savior of the world!

Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:29

You are blessed if you believe Jesus is God and trust Him with your life!

Joyfor2day daily devotional goes out over the internet to thousands of people all over the world five days a week

Jesus can use you to shake the foundations of the prison and set people free!

Now it happened, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much profit by fortune telling. This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.” And this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out that very hour. Acts 16:16-18 NKJV

The slave girl was speaking the truth. She was possessed by an evil spirit. The evil spirit was drawing people away from Christ!

This attack came as God’s servants went to prayer. The enemy of our souls attacks when we step out in faith. Satan seeks to distract us. He wants us to focus our attention on things other than Jesus.

The devil perverts the truth. He uses it against us. No one can serve two masters. This girl was speaking the truth about Paul and his companions while practicing witchcraft. When people claim to speak for God we must consider how they live.

The girl followed the disciples for several days before they cast the demon out of her. It is important for us to wait on the Lord before stepping out in faith. The bible tells us Paul was greatly annoyed by this girl. Paul was not fearful. The Lord was with Him!

Paul and Silas were put in jail. The owners of the slave girl were angry at the loss of income when the demon was cast out of her. While Paul and Silas were in jail they shared the gospel with the jailer. His entire household was saved.

God uses Satan’s attacks for His glory and our salvation!

Satan is a real being. He takes people captive to do his will. There really are demons who seek to destroy God’s people and bring destruction to our world.

We have nothing to fear from the devil or his demons when we live according to God’s will. We have nothing to fear from anyone or anything when we step out in faith to serve Jesus!

Jesus wants us to fear Him and Him alone. He wants us to know His power and authority are unequaled in all of creation.

God wants you share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the people in your life. Jesus wants you to walk in great boldness because He is with you everywhere you go!

Jesus can use you to shake the foundations of the prison and set people free!
