But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 2 Peter 3:8 NKJV
Jesus does not want us to lose hope when people mock His promises. He does not want us to listen to the voice of the unbelieving multitude. He wants us to listen for His voice!
Jesus Christ is coming soon for His beloved!
The old things will pass away. God will recreate the heavens and the Earth. We will live in God’s presence in total perfection. We will receive new bodies that will never taste death or corruption. We will worship our Heavenly Father as perfected people!
My wife and I drove down the road on resurrection Sunday. We were in costume and make up. It was our last gig as the SonShine Clowns. As we drove in silence I prayed for my unsaved father. He was dying. The Lord spoke to me. He said your father is saved.
People were looking up to the sky. There was only one cloud. It had all the colors of the rainbow in it. When I saw that prism I knew my father would be saved. A short time later he surrendered his heart to Jesus. My father is in the presence of Jesus today!
God lives outside the confines of time. Time does not affect Jesus in anyway shape or form. When the Lord looked down from heaven at my father he did not see a man who made no room for God in his life. The Lord saw a sinner saved by grace.
When Jesus hung on the cross at Calvary He saw you!
Jesus did not see you as a child of the devil. Jesus did not see you as an object of wrath. The Lord saw you as a precious gem whose value is beyond measure. Jesus placed such great value on you only He could pay the price required by God the Father for you!
We are in a season of trial and tribulation. The future is uncertain. Many are fearful. What are we to do? Remember the Lord. Jesus is righteous and holy. He is coming soon. We will be His inheritance. Jesus will be our reward!
Jesus is not running late or behind schedule. Jesus is waiting for people who will bend their knees and bow their heads to choose eternal life with Him!
Time has not separated us from the Lord’s sacrifice for us. Jesus went willingly as a lamb before the slaughter on that faithful day. The Lord wants you to offer the sacrifice of praise to Jesus. Jesus wants you to surrender your heart and life to Him!
Was sin an option for Jesus when He walked the earth in human form? It is an option for you and me. Jesus chose to obey God the Father in faith. Because of Jesus sacrifice and victory over sin and death we have the freedom to live in obedience to the Father today!
The day of the Lord is fast approaching. What manner of people should we be today? Be holy in conduct and godliness by faith in Jesus!
