“Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings;
Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left. And your descendants will inherit the nations. And make the desolate cities inhabited.” Isaiah 54:2-3 NKJV My teenage years were plagued by nightmares and demonic manifestations. Sometimes I was left wondering what was real and what wasn’t. Drug abuse and a history of witchcraft in my family opened a door only Jesus could shut. When I was a newly saved Christian I found three instruction manuals on witchcraft. Each was different. All were evil. I burned them in an old hibachi. That night three demons dressed in traditional tribal garb came out of the darkness towards me. I was frozen with fear as they grew closer and larger. I couldn’t even speak. I was finally able to whisper the name of Jesus. A whisper became a cry for help. They retreated into the darkness. Was I dreaming? Was I attacked? I really do not know. I know I took a very naïve step of faith against evil. I pray Jesus will give me the discernment and faith to do it again! Covid-19 has spread over the earth. Over a million people are afflicted. Many have died. Many more may lose their lives. Our economy has been devastated. People all over the world are shuttered in their homes. How bad will the epidemic get? How long will it last? We do not know how long we will be shuttered in our homes. We do not know how long it will take for the economy to recover or if it ever will. No one knows how many lives will be lost or if our lives will ever return to normal. What do we know? Jesus is not just a mighty warrior. He is the king of the fight! Jesus has already defeated sin and death. The devil’s schemes and minions have already been overthrown. We do not yet see the victory in our world. That does not make it any less a reality. We must learn to walk in Jesus’ victory! Jesus’ victory at Calvary crushed Satan’s head. We do not have to cower in fear of him or anything else. We can step out in faith with the boldness and assurance that Jesus is with us everywhere we go. He goes before us today. He is our rear guard! Stretch out your hand to do all that Jesus puts in your heart to do. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes for the glory of God. If it’s biblical and lifts-up the name of Jesus the Lord will be with you. If it’s biblical and blesses people God will be with you! Jesus’ victory makes you a mighty warrior when you serve Him in faith! This is the time to take a stand of faith against the fear and uncertainty that grips our world. How can you serve Jesus? Look to the right and to your left. Fall to your knees and fight the good fight of faith in Jesus mighty name for the people all around you! http://www.joyfor2day.com https://twitter.com/JoyFor2day #Joyfor2daydailydevotional
