The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever. Psalm 111:10 NKJV
Some people believe there are no absolutes. Everything is relevant. That is absolutely wrong. The Great I Am is the ultimate authority that governs creation! God gave us instruction in His word for our own good and safety. The Lord loves us. He wants to bless us. He wants to meet our needs. Almighty God wants to protect us! Wisdom is the right implementation of knowledge or the ability to make sound judgments. God wants us to be wise. He knows what is best for us. The problems we face are the result of people making decisions based on faulty beliefs. Only God can determine the difference between good and evil right and wrong! Wise people know they do not have all the answers. They know where to turn for answers. Wise people do not risk their eternal destiny on human knowledge, rational or resources. It is wise to turn to the One who loves us perfectly. It is wise to put our eternal destiny in the hands of the One who created the heavens and the Earth. It is wise to put our faith in the hands of a faithful God! God has chosen to leave room for faith or doubt. He gives us the opportunity to walk by faith and not by sight. One day we will see the Lord face to face. He will say to those who live by faith in Jesus, “well done my good and faithful servant enter into your reward.” To people who reject Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior He will say, “depart from me I never knew you!” My past was filled with shame and guilt. I was a fool. The light of God’s love was before me every day of my life. I chose to stumble around in the darkness. Wisdom was calling out in the streets. I covered my ears with sin stained hands. When I gave my life to Jesus I realized God’s hand had always been upon me. He was watching over me and protecting me even as I ran from Him and rejected Him, why? The God of wisdom and knowledge knew I would turn to Him. He knew the time and day of my salvation. The Lord of mercy and grace did not just wait for me. He was actively involved in my life, why? He called me by name to serve Him before I was even born! Do not be weighed down by your foolish past. Cast aside the shame and guilt like a smelly pair of shoes. Seek the God of wisdom. Follow His commandments. The Lord will give you understanding. Praise God in spirit and truth. It will echo into eternity! Make wise decisions. Take God at His Word. Choose to walk by faith in Jesus. The Lord raised you from death unto eternal life to serve Him at just such a time as this! www.joyfor2day.com www.facebook.com/Joyfor2dayDailyDevotional https://twitter.com/JoyFor2day #Joyfor2daydailydevotional
