I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations. For I have said, “Mercy shall be built up forever; Your faithfulness You shall establish in the very heavens.” Psalm 89:1-2
The Psalmist gives praise to God for the loving care of His people.
We were created to sing of God’s great mercy. We were created to make His faithfulness known to our generation.
Today I prayed for someone dear to me. He is in bondage to sin. His health is bad. He says he wants help but has not allowed me to help him. He is afraid to move forward. There is a battle for his heart and soul raging in the spiritual realm.
God is going to intervene and rescue my beloved. I will sing of God’s great mercy in my heart. I will make His faithfulness known to everyone who reads these messages. Jesus will receive the glory praise and honor only He is worth to receive!
What do the words; “Mercy shall be built up forever; Your faithfulness You shall establish in the very heavens”, mean to you? Today these words remind me that because of the mercy of God we will live in blessed perfection with Him forever!
“I have made My covenant with My chosen, I have sworn to My servant David: Your seed I will establish forever, And build up your throne to all generations.” Selah Vs 3-4
God swore to David one of his sons would sit upon the throne of Israel forever. That promise was fulfilled in Jesus Christ. In His humanity Jesus is a descendant of David. That promise is a guarantee for us.
Our God will reign in mercy throughout time. His justice will prevail from one end of creation to the other. His authority and power will never be overthrown. We will reign with Him. Our eternal destiny is to experience the blessing of His love throughout time!
God does not make promises He cannot or will not keep!
“You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem! Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.” 2 Chronicles 17 NKJV
There is a battle taking place in the spiritual realm. You do not need to fight that battle. Position yourself through faith in Jesus. Be still and see the salvation of the Lord. Do not be fearful or worry. God is with you!
Almighty God has been faithful to rescue my beloved. The glory for this victory belongs to Jesus. My heart is full of His mercy. His praise is on my lips.
The Lord honors people who honor Him. Will you honor Jesus today?
