And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9 NKJV
I am angry and frustrated with a family member. My intentions are good. I want the best for him. I want him to experience God’s grace and mercy. I want him to know how much Jesus loves him. I want him to surrender to Jesus and live an abundant life. The root of my anger is selfishness. I am tired of doing good and not seeing results. I am angry because people I love have experienced pain and sorrow. The mercy grace and love of God is extended but it does not impact how my beloved lives. What now? How do I deal with my anger and frustration? I remember there was a time when I would not respond to God’s love and mercy. I remember when I would not respond to the Forgiveness God offered through faith in Jesus. I must remember God loves my beloved more than I do! I cannot save him. I cannot rescue him. Jesus can save him. The Lord can rescue him. God can transform his life. Jesus can bless Him far beyond anything I could ever do. God is not a respecter of persons. He saved you. He rescued me. He can save the person you are praying for. Continue to do what is right in the sight of God. Continue to bring people before Jesus in prayer! I sent out this message in May of 2008. The person on my heart that day has experienced many trials and hardships. He has continued to live outside of God’s will. He still has not responded to God’s love and mercy by turning to faith in Jesus. I continue to experience the frustration and heartache of watching someone I love living in hopelessness and despair. Mercy and forgiveness have been extended time and time again. It has been abused and rejected. God’s love has still not penetrated his hard heart! The wrath of man does not bring about the righteousness of God. Jesus wants us to continue doing what is right in His sight regardless of what we can see with our eyes. Regardless of the pain and heartache we might feel! If we continue to work out our salvation through faith in Jesus we will witness a harvest of righteousness in the lives of the people God loves! Do not grow tired of serving the Lord of heaven and earth. Jesus never nor slumbers. He is at work every minute of every day saving people from themselves! Show the kindness of Jesus to other people when you have the opportunity, especially those who are of the household of God, but do not forget the unsaved. They need Jesus! www.joyfor2day.com https://twitter.com/JoyFor2day #Joyfor2daydailydevotional
