Pray about everything in every situation and circumstance!

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV

God knows we will be anxious at times. We have been conditioned to believe we are in control of our own destiny. We have been taught to believe if we make the right decisions we will have less to be fearful of. We think we can design our own future.

When I am anxious and fearful it is usually because I am trying to figure things out on my own. I am trying to determine what is really happening. What my exact circumstances are. I weigh my options so I can make the correct choices.

I become most anxious when I turn over every stone of information searching for clues to determine the correct course of action to take.

Jesus wants us to know He is in control of all things. The most effective course of action we can take in times of trial and turmoil, peace and prosperity is to turn to God for help.

Jesus wants us to turn to Him first when we need help or answers. He does not want us to turn to Him when all else fails. He wants us to turn to Him in our time of need and in our time of blessing. Jesus wants us turn to Him before we look to any other source for help or guidance.

There are times when God will not act until someone prays. We can engage in spiritual warfare through prayer. People are healed physically and spiritually when they are prayed for. Prayer is worship. Prayer is communion with God and so much more.

The bible contains beautiful prayers of thanksgiving for His goodness and mercy!

I dreamed I was back in the Marine Corps. I saw a gun built into a telephone pole. It was long and large. It could reach a target far away. I remembered a man I had not seen in 30 years. God moved me to pray for him.

God hears our prayers!

Jesus wants us to participate in His ministry. We can serve God in a crowded area or in the quietness of our own homes. We can serve God anytime of the night or day. We can serve the Lord by praying for anything and everything Jesus puts on our hearts!

God will hear your prayers. He will answer when you pray according to His will!

What is God’s will? The Lord does not want anyone to perish. Our God wants all people to come into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ!

Don’t be anxious about anything. Be thankful in every situation and circumstance.  Remember that God is in control of all things and make your request known to Him!

Joyfor2day daily devotional goes out over the internet to thousands of people all over the world five days a week

Jesus can use you to shake the foundations of the prison and set people free!

Now it happened, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much profit by fortune telling. This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.” And this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out that very hour. Acts 16:16-18 NKJV

The slave girl was speaking the truth. She was possessed by an evil spirit. The evil spirit was drawing people away from Christ!

This attack came as God’s servants went to prayer. The enemy of our souls attacks when we step out in faith. Satan seeks to distract us. He wants us to focus our attention on things other than Jesus.

The devil perverts the truth. He uses it against us. No one can serve two masters. This girl was speaking the truth about Paul and his companions while practicing witchcraft. When people claim to speak for God we must consider how they live.

The girl followed the disciples for several days before they cast the demon out of her. It is important for us to wait on the Lord before stepping out in faith. The bible tells us Paul was greatly annoyed by this girl. Paul was not fearful. The Lord was with Him!

Paul and Silas were put in jail. The owners of the slave girl were angry at the loss of income when the demon was cast out of her. While Paul and Silas were in jail they shared the gospel with the jailer. His entire household was saved.

God uses Satan’s attacks for His glory and our salvation!

Satan is a real being. He takes people captive to do his will. There really are demons who seek to destroy God’s people and bring destruction to our world.

We have nothing to fear from the devil or his demons when we live according to God’s will. We have nothing to fear from anyone or anything when we step out in faith to serve Jesus!

Jesus wants us to fear Him and Him alone. He wants us to know His power and authority are unequaled in all of creation.

God wants you share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the people in your life. Jesus wants you to walk in great boldness because He is with you everywhere you go!

Jesus can use you to shake the foundations of the prison and set people free!
