Meditate on the Word of God!

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. Psalm 1:1-3 NKJV

Men who do not take the advice of ungodly people will be blessed. Women who do not imitate sinners will receive the grace of God. People who do not join in with those who scoff and scorn at the things of God will experience the abundant life.

Sin is progressive. When we associate with sinful people we become sinners. A person who has experienced the grace of God should never fall under the influence of ungodly people. When we give ourselves over to sin it influences every area of our lives.

Sin will eventually result in loss and heartache. The first and most devastating consequence of sin is the damage and separation it brings to our relationships. Sin separates us from God and the people we love!

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. We should not look down on people who are in bondage to sin. We should come along side to love and pray for everyone!

God never gives up on us. Jesus can breathe healing and restoration into our lives when we incline our hearts to Him. Jesus can use us regardless of the things we have done when we surrender our hearts and our lives to Him.

God can put humpty dumpty back together again. That does not mean we will not suffer the consequences of our sins past present and future!

A man who meditates on the Word of God will grow and flourish like a tree planted next to a river. A woman who obeys the Word of God will be like a tree that bears delicious fruit. People who obey the Word of God will bear fruits of righteousness for Jesus!

Jesus uses people who set their hearts on Him to share His love with other people and lead lost souls to salvation.

God is drawing a clear line in the sand for us. He explains the difference in the lives of people who take advice from, associate with, and agree with people who are in bondage to sin and people who give their hearts and lives to Jesus!

Meditate on the Word of God. Do not take advice from ungodly people. Don’t be influenced by people who glorify sin. Give your heart to Jesus. The Lord will bless you.

Fruits of righteousness are produced by people who find their righteousness in Jesus. Trust the Lord to fill your life with fruits of righteousness so He can love lost, lonely and brokenhearted people through you!

Obey God’s Word so Jesus can plant you next to the river of life. The Lord wants you to produce fruits of righteousness so the people around you can partake of it!

Joyfor2day daily devotional goes out over the internet to thousands of people all over the world five days a week

Jesus can use you to shake the foundations of the prison and set people free!

Now it happened, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much profit by fortune telling. This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.” And this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out that very hour. Acts 16:16-18 NKJV

The slave girl was speaking the truth. She was possessed by an evil spirit. The evil spirit was drawing people away from Christ!

This attack came as God’s servants went to prayer. The enemy of our souls attacks when we step out in faith. Satan seeks to distract us. He wants us to focus our attention on things other than Jesus.

The devil perverts the truth. He uses it against us. No one can serve two masters. This girl was speaking the truth about Paul and his companions while practicing witchcraft. When people claim to speak for God we must consider how they live.

The girl followed the disciples for several days before they cast the demon out of her. It is important for us to wait on the Lord before stepping out in faith. The bible tells us Paul was greatly annoyed by this girl. Paul was not fearful. The Lord was with Him!

Paul and Silas were put in jail. The owners of the slave girl were angry at the loss of income when the demon was cast out of her. While Paul and Silas were in jail they shared the gospel with the jailer. His entire household was saved.

God uses Satan’s attacks for His glory and our salvation!

Satan is a real being. He takes people captive to do his will. There really are demons who seek to destroy God’s people and bring destruction to our world.

We have nothing to fear from the devil or his demons when we live according to God’s will. We have nothing to fear from anyone or anything when we step out in faith to serve Jesus!

Jesus wants us to fear Him and Him alone. He wants us to know His power and authority are unequaled in all of creation.

God wants you share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the people in your life. Jesus wants you to walk in great boldness because He is with you everywhere you go!

Jesus can use you to shake the foundations of the prison and set people free!
