And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, Behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. Then He who sat on the throne said, Behold I make all things new. And He said to me, Write, for these words are true and faithful. And He said to me, It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be His God and he shall be My son. Revelation 21:3-7 NKJV
God tells us what the future holds for people who choose relationship with Him. God is showing us how much He loves us. He tells us how important our relationship is to Him. Three times the Lord says, “I will be their God and they will be My people.”
God’s greatest desire is for us to receive His love with joy and thanksgiving. He wants us to love, honor and worship Him with all of our hearts, souls and strength. God created us to live in intimate relationship with him in a world with no death sorrow or pain!
Jesus is gathering His people. He is restoring His creation one heart and soul at a time. He will make all things new again. We will live in intimate relationship with Jesus. We will live in a world with no death, sorrow or pain. That is God’s greatest desire!
Our Heavenly Father values our relationship with Him so much He sacrificed His One and Only Begotten Son for us!
Jesus laid down His life for us in obedience to God the Father. He laid down His life for us because He values His relationship with the Father above all things. Our Heavenly Father wants us to value our relationship with Jesus above all things today!
In the western world we associate love with the heart. We think of love as something we feel. That is only partially true. Our feelings and emotions are affected. They are gifts from God. We should not try to deny or stifle them.
Love is a choice. It is an act of the will. We choose to love people. The freedom to love is a gift from God. Jesus chooses to love us today.
By the grace of God and in the power of the Holy Spirit we can obey the command to love each other today!
In order to love we must be willing to forgive. Love and forgiveness are like conjoined twins. They cannot be separated. Where there is love forgiveness can always be found!
Jesus made a way for us to be forgiven because He loves us. We must forgive each other because we love Jesus.
Step out in faith today. Ask Jesus to give you a heart to love His people as much as He does. Jesus is with us today. Jesus is our God now and forevermore!
