Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Psalm 40:4 NKJV
God is the ultimate authority over creation. He does have opposition. That does not diminish His authority. There is one exception to His total control over all things. God gave us free will. He allows us to make our own decisions. The most important decision we can make is to live in relationship with Jesus. We decide if we will receive and return His love or reject it. The Lord will not violate our free will. What does it mean for a person to make the Lord His or her hope and trust? It means trusting Jesus to maintain our relationship with Him. It means trusting Jesus to be faithful when we are not. We must learn to trust Jesus to be strong when we are weak. Me must learn to trust our lives to Jesus regardless of our circumstances and mood swings. Our relationship with Jesus is based on His goodness and faithfulness not ours. We all have flaws in our character! I want to be a faithful and obedient disciple of Christ. I want to seek Jesus and love Him. I want to share the love of God with people who do not know Him. I fail to live up to the righteous standards of a Holy God. All it takes is a bad night sleep a disagreement with a family member or the cashier at taco bell to get my order wrong and I am distracted from God’s call to be Holy. A headache cold or missing my daily dose of caffeine and I am really thrown for a loop. God is looking for people who have a sincere desire to know Him. He is looking for men and women who desire holiness. Jesus wants us to love Him with all our heart soul and strength. Jesus wants us to trust Him to meet our needs. He wants us to trust Him to guide us through life. Jesus wants us to trust Him to lead us into His presence! Make Jesus the object of your hope and trust. Do not follow proud and arrogant people who teach thinly veiled lies. Be blessed through faith in Jesus Christ! www.joyfor2day.com www.facebook.com/Joyfor2dayDailyDevotional https://twitter.com/JoyFor2day #Joyfor2daydailydevotional
