“My soul loathes my life: I will give free course to my complaint, I will speak in the bitterness of my soul. Job 10:1 NKJV
Job continues to seek death. Job continues to complain against God. Job comes up with a laundry list of reasons why the Lord is afflicting him. Job eventually concludes God believes he is a man of integrity. Job’s children died. Job lost his wealth. He was afflicted with painful boils. Job’s wife told him to curse God and die. Job’s friends accused and condemn him. Job has a lot to complain about, or does he? Job’s complaining goes on far too long, or does it? We can grow tired of hearing about other people’s problems. We may come along side to offer encouragement and support at first. We may grow weary after a while. We may begin wondering when they will move on or deal with issues. It hurts when people grow weary of our trials and troubles. It hurts when people stop offering support and encouragement. It hurts when all we hear is’ “I’ll pray for you.” Prayer is the most effective way to help each other. Prayer is most effective when offered up with sincere concern and compassion! Life rarely turns out the way we expect. That was true for Job. It may be true for you. Complaining does not make things better. It makes them worse! Life is hard. We all suffer hardship and heartache. They may be extreme like those Job experienced. They may be less severe. They all hurt. There may be times when you wish you were never born. You may accuse God of treating you unfairly. You may feel bitter and resentful. Do not lose hope. God is with you. Jesus will never leave you or turn His back on you. Jesus will deliver you from everything that afflicts your soul! God wants you to help other people. Share your hardships with them. Share how God held your hand and led you through the valley of weeping. Remember how sensitive your feelings were during your season of heartache and sorrow! God has designed specific hardships and trials for you. They are similar to the trials others will endure. God also has special blessings awaiting you. They may be as unique and special as you are to Him! God has special blessings in store for people who maintain integrity of heart. Be one of them. Trust Jesus with your circumstances today. Trust Jesus with the trials and troubles tomorrow may bring. Jesus is the greatest blessing. Bless Him with your trust! www.joyfor2day.com https://twitter.com/JoyFor2day #Joyfor2daydailydevotional
