Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the Lord. Psalm 31:24 NKJV
The commands, “Fear not” and “Be strong and courageous” appear many times in the bible. They both mean the same thing. God repeats Himself because we need to be reminded. God is not telling us to be strong or courageous in our own strength. He is telling us we can be strong courageous and confident because Jesus is with us. We can be strong and courageous when we put our hope in Jesus. These words were written many years ago. They were written for us. God knows the trials and hardships we face. He knows we will be fearful as we journey through life in a fallen world. Jesus knows we will make mistakes. He knows some of our poor choices will put us in danger. Jesus wants us to live by faith in Him. Jesus will give us what we need when we need it to live for Him. God created us to be more than conquerors through faith in Jesus. If we put our hope in His faithfulness we can never be defeated. If we take a stand for righteousness Jesus will give us the courage to glorify God. If we trust Jesus we will never be disappointed. If we will believe His Hand is upon us He will strengthen our hearts. We can trust Jesus with our hopes dreams and desires because He loves us. Ask Jesus to help you be courageous. Ask Him to strengthen your heart. Do not put your trust in worthless idols or ideas. Do not depend on your bank account or investments. No one or anything can guarantee your safety and future the way Jesus can! Oh, love the Lord, all you His saints! For the Lord preserves the faithful, And fully repays the proud person. Vs 23 David was confident in God. He looked to the Lord for help. He stayed faithful to God regardless of his circumstance. That is what made him a man after God’s heart. Jesus wants you to be confident in Him today. He wants you to look to Him for help protection and deliverance today. Stay faithful to Jesus regardless of your sins and mistakes. Trust Jesus when you experience trials and hardship! Love the Lord with all your heart soul and strength. Jesus preserves the faithful. Be one of them. Jesus repays the proud and arrogant. Do not mimic them. Walk in obedience to Almighty God by being strong and courageous through faith in Jesus Christ! www.joyfor2day.com www.facebook.com/Joyfor2dayDailyDevotional https://twitter.com/JoyFor2day #Joyfor2daydailydevotional
