But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.
1 Peter 3:15 NKJV Some Christians believe if we have enough faith God will do everything we ask. We will never get sick or injured if we have enough faith. God will bless us financially if we have enough faith. The Lord will prosper everything we do if we can muster up enough faith. God wants us to take everything to Him in prayer. The Lord answers prayer that is offered up in faith. I have seen God answer prayer in miraculous ways. The Lord answered every one of my prayers. He did not always answer the way I wanted. There have been times the Lord did much more than I even thought to ask for. God is faithful and true to people who love and honor Jesus. If we believe God will always give us what we ask for we can lose faith in His goodness and mercy if He doesn’t. We can become discouraged when we get sick or injured. We can fall into unbelief when we suffer hardship and heartache! Other Christians who believe this doctrine can become judgmental and critical of us. They may believe God is not blessing us because we have hidden sin in our lives. They may believe our faith in Jesus is weak or non-existent. My wife had cancer when she was six years old. The medical treatment weakened her immune system. Is she prone to illness because she does not have enough faith or has hidden sin in her life? No, my wife is a woman of strong faith and devotion to Jesus! God wants you to sanctify Him in your heart. He wants you to reverence and honor Jesus above all people and things. The Lord wants you to be ready to give an answer for the hope that lies within you today! What hope is that? Jesus Christ is coming soon. He will take you into the presence of our Heavenly Father where there will be fullness of joy forever! Keep praying in faith. God will answer. He is God. He knows what you need. God will bless you and prosper you in ways you cannot even imagine if you set Jesus apart as Lord in your heart! Why is there hope in your heart today? Why do you have faith in a God you cannot see with your eyes or touch with your hands? Why do you hold God as sacred above all people places and things? Settle those questions in your own heart. Share them with everyone who has an ear to hear that Jesus Christ is the Lord of heaven and earth! www.joyfor2day.com https://twitter.com/JoyFor2day #Joyfor2daydailydevotional
