Then He adds, Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more. Hebrews 10:17 NKJV
Is it possible for God to forget? God can choose not to recall! Jesus is the Lord of second chances. He is the God of new beginnings. Jesus is the God of unlimited possibilities! If you have received salvation through faith in the risen Lord your life is hidden in Christ. When God looks at you He does not see your sins failures and mistakes. He sees the righteousness of Jesus! If you had never sinned or fallen short of the Glory of God His forgiveness would mean nothing to you. Jesus’ death would be meaningless. You did sin. It changes everything! God called King David a man after His own heart. David understood the depth of God’s love for Him. David knew he was a sinful wretch when left to himself. David knew he was capable of great wickedness. He could never forget his sins failures and mistakes. God used David’s sin to draw him into an intimate relationship. The Lord can use your sin to draw you closer to Jesus. That does not justify your sin. It is not an excuse to sin. It is an exhortation to keep moving forward in Jesus despite your sinful past. God has put your sins behind His back. He chooses not to recall your evil deeds. Today is a new day. It is an opportunity for a new beginning! God can use your sins failures and mistakes for your good and His glory. How do we allow God to use our sins failures and mistakes for His glory? If we surrender our hearts and lives to the One who offered Himself up for us God will put His desires into our hearts and minds! God’s greatest commandments highlight His loving nature. They reveal His desires for us. They reveal the eternal blessings of people who love Jesus today! God wants us to live in loving relationships with Him and each other. Our Heavenly Father wants to bless us with His love. He wants us to be blessed by our love for each other! God wants the evidence of our love for Him to be seen in the way we live. Jesus wants our lives to reflect His loving nature. He wants us to be blessed by our loving relationships with each other! You do not need to forget your sins failures and mistakes. You do need to forgive yourself for them. Jesus forgives you. Forgive yourself! http://www.joyfor2day.com https://twitter.com/JoyFor2day #Joyfor2daydailydevotional
