By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days. Hebrews 11:30 NKJV
Jericho was a demonic stronghold. It was inhabited by ungodly people. They were taken captive to carry out the will of Satan. God commanded the children of Israel to take Jericho. He told them to march around the city in silence for six days. On the seventh day they were to march around the city and shout when they heard trumpets blast. The Ark of the Covenant went before them. The Children of Israel obeyed the Lord. The walls of Jericho came down. God brought about a great victory that day! I drove down the road with my supervisor in silence. I was a new believer. The Lord spoke to me. He said; “tell him about me.” God wanted me to share the gospel with my coworker. I didn’t say a word. I disobeyed Jesus that day. God reminds me of that day. He does not condemn me. He uses the memory of my failure to stir up a resolve within me never to let another opportunity to share the gospel pass by! Jesus knew I was too insecure to step out in faith that day. He knew the missed opportunity would stir me into action in the future! Jesus knows what it takes to make us men and women of courage and conviction. Jesus can transform us into people who are willing to enter strongholds of evil. Jesus can prepare us to share the gospel with people who have been taken captive by the devil. God is more concerned with victories than sins and failures. The God of the miraculous and mundane sees us as we will be when He has perfected us into the image of Christ. Do not be weighed down by your past! Be encouraged by the future God has in store for you! Jesus loves you. The Lord will give you new opportunities to step out in faith. Jesus will give you new opportunities to share the gospel with people! Let Jesus use you to pull down walls that separate people from Him. Let Jesus use you to tear down the strongholds of the enemy! Fix your eyes on Jesus. Keep the Lord always before you. March from victory to victory in the Mighty Name of Jesus! www.joyfor2day.com https://twitter.com/JoyFor2day #Joyfor2daydailydevotional
