God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Psalm 46:1-3 NKJV
Is Jesus your refuge and strength? Is He your help and hope when you are in trouble? When situations or circumstances you cannot control or manage arise where do you turn? Who do you turn to? When life spins out of control how do you cope? How do you slow things down and bring them back under control? Most of us believe God exists. Most of us believe He created us. God did not create us to believe He exists. Demons know God exists. God created us to live in relationship with Him! God is my refuge (a place I go for safety). He is a very present help (near to me) when I am in trouble. I know God can deliver me from all circumstances. I know God can provide for all my needs. I sometimes wonder if God will help me, protect me, and provide for all my needs. I doubt Him even though He has never let me down. I doubt Him even though He has never disappointed me, why? When I live in doubt and discouragement it is because I forget who I am. I am a child of the living God. Jesus loves me. Jesus eagerly desires to help me. My relationship with God is not based upon ability to live by a set of rules and regulations. Neither is yours. My relationship with Jesus is based on His love for me. So is yours! The Lord does require something of us. He does give us one overriding command that takes precedent over all others. Jesus wants us to love Him. He wants us to turn to Him in our times of need and in our times of plenty. Jesus wants us to turn to Him when we are fearful and when we are walking in great boldness. Jesus wants us to turn to Him for everything all the time! God’s greatest commandment is; Love the Lord your God with your heart with all your soul and with all your strength and love your neighbor as yourself! We will face trials and hardships. You may be facing them right now. Turn those trials and hardships over to Jesus. He is an ever present help in times of trial and trouble! Seek Jesus in the quietness of your heart. Ask Him to be your refuge and strength. Ask Him to help you in times of trial and trouble. Ask Jesus to show you how much He loves you! Ask Jesus to fill your heart with love for Him and the people all around you! www.joyfor2day.com www.facebook.com/Joyfor2dayDailyDevotional https://twitter.com/JoyFor2day #Joyfor2daydailydevotional
