Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth-For your love is better than wine. Because of the fragrance of your good ointments, Your name is ointment poured forth; Therefore, the virgins love you. Draw me away! Song of Solomon 1:2-3 NKJV

This book is the passionate love story of King Solomon and a Shulamite woman. It also represents God’s passionate love for you!

The man with hundreds of wives and concubines fell so deeply in love he shared it with generations of unborn believers. Solomon slipped away from the palace into the arms of his beloved. He went to a place only lovers know!

Forty-five years ago, I walked into a convenience store. I made eye contact with a beautiful girl. She walked out as I walked in. I turned to look at her. She turned to look at me. The next time we met my heart melted. My life was never the same.

I sang “I only have eyes for you” to my sweet love. She served delicious meals and got lost in my eyes as I tasted her delicacies. I sat on the grass behind her house with a sign that read “I love you.” She looked down at me with longing in her eyes.

I ran across the street jumped the fence and met my love. Each kiss was sweater than the last. Each embrace led me deeper into a place I had never known. Our hearts and bodies became one. I refused to let go. I surrendered to love. So did my beloved!

Five years after surrendering so completely to love I hardened my heart. I neglected and rejected the sweet love I held so dear. Her eyes no longer moved me. I ignored the sweet songs of love her heart whispered in my ear. Our bodies were no longer one.

God intervened. He had His way. The beauty of that love is at my side today!

There is a love that surpasses the steamy pages of Solomon’s Song. It fills the deepest darkest pits with hope. The kiss of His Spirit fills our hearts and souls. It flows into the lives of people only God truly knows. It transforms people who surrender to God’s love!

God’s love is so great not even Solomon could put it into words. It is too mysterious for the mind of man. The Shulamite woman did not need anyone to explain Solomon’s love. His kiss whispered it into her ear. His body drew her near.

People who surrender deeply to the love of God are drawn to a place only they know!

Has your love for God has grown cold and stale? Return to the secret place where Jesus waits. The Lord will whisper secret words of love eternal and real only God can reveal!

I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine. He feeds his flock among the lilies. SOS 6:3

Do not neglect God’s precious love. Let Jesus water you with it. Drink deep of your beloved. Receive His love today. Let Jesus draw you away to a place only lovers of God know. Jesus can sweep you away to the place where true love never grows cold or stale!

Joyfor2day daily devotional goes out over the internet to thousands of people all over the world five days a week

Jesus can use you to shake the foundations of the prison and set people free!

Now it happened, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much profit by fortune telling. This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.” And this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out that very hour. Acts 16:16-18 NKJV

The slave girl was speaking the truth. She was possessed by an evil spirit. The evil spirit was drawing people away from Christ!

This attack came as God’s servants went to prayer. The enemy of our souls attacks when we step out in faith. Satan seeks to distract us. He wants us to focus our attention on things other than Jesus.

The devil perverts the truth. He uses it against us. No one can serve two masters. This girl was speaking the truth about Paul and his companions while practicing witchcraft. When people claim to speak for God we must consider how they live.

The girl followed the disciples for several days before they cast the demon out of her. It is important for us to wait on the Lord before stepping out in faith. The bible tells us Paul was greatly annoyed by this girl. Paul was not fearful. The Lord was with Him!

Paul and Silas were put in jail. The owners of the slave girl were angry at the loss of income when the demon was cast out of her. While Paul and Silas were in jail they shared the gospel with the jailer. His entire household was saved.

God uses Satan’s attacks for His glory and our salvation!

Satan is a real being. He takes people captive to do his will. There really are demons who seek to destroy God’s people and bring destruction to our world.

We have nothing to fear from the devil or his demons when we live according to God’s will. We have nothing to fear from anyone or anything when we step out in faith to serve Jesus!

Jesus wants us to fear Him and Him alone. He wants us to know His power and authority are unequaled in all of creation.

God wants you share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the people in your life. Jesus wants you to walk in great boldness because He is with you everywhere you go!

Jesus can use you to shake the foundations of the prison and set people free!
