Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to Him who thirsts.” Revelation 21:5-6 NKJV They say you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make Him drink. That may be true but God can make him thirsty! In a vision the Apostle John saw a new heaven and a new earth. He saw the New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And John heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.” “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” God is going to return creation to its original state of perfection. There will be no more strife struggling or conflict in His Holy City. It will shine with the light of God’s love. Jesus will gather His people together like a mother hen gathers her chicks. He will live among us and rule over us in a relationship of perfect love. We will see God with our eyes touch Him with our hands and hear His words with our ears! Every remembrance of the sorrow struggle and sadness of this world will be wiped away. We will live forever without pain regret or turmoil. All things, including our bodies attitudes and perspectives will be made new! The victory over sin and death was won when Jesus declared, “It is finished” and committed His Spirit into the Father’s hands. Our future was sealed when Jesus rose from the grave! Water has been called the source of life. Jesus is the giver of life! Jesus is the fountain of living water. He calls out to people whose souls and spirits are parched and dry. He calls out to people who need to be refreshed and renewed. He wants us to drink deep from the still waters of His love and peace! Are you thirsty? Drink deep of the living water today! His tomb is empty. Jesus is risen! http://www.joyfor2day.com https://twitter.com/JoyFor2day #Joyfor2daydailydevotional
